‘Sterling's Guide to London's West End..'


The West End covers such world renown areas like Mayfair, Park Lane, and Oxford Street. The main reason why living in this part of London is so popular is because here you can have the best of both worlds. On the one hand there is an abundance of shops, museums and entertainment. You can truly experience the hustle and bustle of the City! On the other hand, you have the beautiful green spaces of Hyde Park and the waterfront of the Serpentine.

From a convenience view point, should you travel a great deal, the transport links to the airport are excellent. The Heathrow Express runs from Paddington station and takes only 20 minutes. If you would like to experience the best of the British countryside, you can take the M40 and M1 out of London and these routes are all within easy reach from the West End!

Residential architecture within this part of London varies incredibly however, there are many beautiful roads that boast stunning white Georgian, stucco fronted period buildings and have their own private gardens. Take a walk down Bryanston Square, Hyde Park Square and Montague Mews, to sense a real feeling of home. The gardens are for residents only and allow you the use of a well maintained exclusive garden in the heart of the City.

                                                                           Connaught Village

This exclusive village is only a few minutes away from Hyde Park and Oxford Street. The area is home to fashion designers, art galleries and fabulous cafes that you can sit in and people watch! Connaught Village has great character for residents of the surrounding properties to appreciate.

                   Edgware Road

To get a real sense of the cultural diversity that exists in London why not experience a predominantly Middle Eastern area? With first class restaurants and authentic Lebanese food, this road is always full of people. The restaurants and cafes are open throughout the night and fantastic hospitality is guaranteed!

                            Marylebone Village

Marylebone is an eclectic mix of shops and eateries, as well as the reputable medical specialists in Harley Street. The high street is charming and Marylebone station permits Londoners easy access to the British Countryside for weekends away! The residential streets within the Marylebone area are first class. The classical stucco fronted period properties are well maintained and with the majority having their own private garden, this area is extremely popular!

                                                                Little Venice

As the name suggests, Little Venice is interspersed with waterways and consists of the whole area south of Maida Vale. There are super restaurants, bars and cafes to relax in. Warwick Avenue has some leafy, beautiful residential streets and Paddington Basin, a short walk from Little Venice, is currently being redeveloped on a scale to rival London's Docklands!
